Bio

Laura Bower is a children’s book writer. She is the author of THE IMPOSTER (March 5th, 2024) and EMILY SNOOK, THE WORLD’S SMALLEST COOK (October 8, 2024) by Gnome Road Publishing as well as the forthcoming, HAIL THE TAIL, with S&S/Beach Lane Books (Spring 2027). She is also a teacher at a local preschool. The kids she teaches as well as her own three children are constant sources of inspiration for her stories.

After graduating from the University of Richmond with a dual degree in Communications and Leadership Studies, Laura worked for a strategic communications firm in New York City for over 10 years, before starting her family.

Laura is an active participant in SCBWI, 12×12, #50PreciousWords and StoryStorm, as well as a graduate of the Children’s Book Academy, Marcie Colleen’s Study Hall and Susanna Hill’s Making Picture Book Magic. She frequently attends conferences, book festivals, webinars, and is an active member of a 2024 debut marketing group, PB Soar 24 (@PB_Soar24).

Laura lives in Westchester, NY (in a suburb a half an hour outside of NYC) with my husband, three children and dog Clover. When not writing or reading, she loves planning trips to new places, live theatre/comedy shows, game nights, hot (or iced) tea, walking her dog and baking.
